Getting Warmer

We have had a cool week, so we are happy that it is getting warmer. Today was 64 F and we are expecting temperatures in the high 70's for the weekend. That is nice because tomorrow we are going to the music show at Siver Springs to see Kenny Rogers. That should be a good show. As usual, we are planning to meet our friends, the 4 MacKeegans, to sit with and go out to supper with after the show.

Since this week was cooler, we had time to go shopping. I bought some clothes--pants, shorts and below the knee pants....whatever you call them. We also bought a webcam and had our first webcam call last night with Bernard and Jean. Nice to see the people you are talking to! So, if you have a webcam, call us.

Cooler in Florida

For the last 4 days we were at the beach sunning ourselves and late yesterday it turned cooler. This morning we woke up to 48 degrees F. Now, that is a shock to the system--going from the 80's to the 40's. But....I don't expect that many of you will feel sad for us considering all the snow and cold weather you have been having in Canada.



After I posted my last blog, I received comments/questions.

First of all....what is a "turk-a-loo"

Well it is a cute creature, with greyish hair and a wicked grin that I have been living with for the past 41 years.

Second comment asked me to post a picture of my latest finished baby quilt. I will do that because I love to show off my quilts.



Today, since we cannot go to the beach we will be heading to the Seniors' Expo. It is sort of a home show for seniors. We went to it a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.



Anyone watching American Idol? Who are your favorites? Care to make a prediction as to who are the possible winners?

Beautiful Monday

Well, here I am again after a lovely weekend. Went to the beach twice, walked, did crosswords puzzles, relaxed and looked around. Needless to say, I love this life.

Yesterday, we visited some friends who are here from New Brunswick, and went to dinner with them at Boston Fish. We had been to that restaurant before..they have great seafood.

Last week, I finished quilting my cat baby blanket. I had assembled this one last year and finally got around to quilting it. I immediately started started working on a new one. This one is a printed panel with a mixture of various animals. I think it is supposed to be a take on Noah's Arc.



I have been doing research to find locations where I could show and sell some of my baby quilts. I have a few leads for next summer..2008.



I called this a "Beautiful Monday" because the sun is shining ; it is nice and warm and we plan to go to the beach.

My First Blog

I have often considered writing a blog, but never got around to it. Today, I decided to give it a try. On this blog, I will talk about my 3 passions, my turk-a-loo, my cat the lovely Miss Maggie and my quilting.

I will also write about my daily activities, and mention projects that I am working on.
